Hua Carroll, M.D.
Hua Carroll, M.D., is the director of the pharmacovigilance group at KAI Research, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Altarum Institute. She has over 10 years’ experience in clinical safety and pharmacovigilance. Dr. Carroll leads the group’s effort in safety signal detection, data mining, and the development and assessment of risk evaluation and mitigation strategy (REMS) for pharmaceutical products. She has served as medical monitor in clinical trials. She consults for the National Institute of Aging (NIA) on adverse event reporting and coding, and has presented at the annual meeting of Society for Clinical Trials.
Prior to coming to the United States, Dr. Carroll practiced gynecology and obstetrics in China, with expertise in gynecologic oncology and reproductive medicine. Dr. Carroll received her M.D. from Beijing Medical University, and her M.S. in psychometrics from The University of Louisiana at Monroe.
